The second choice is to check out any RV supply store and find a solid-state, dual-battery hookup module and install that instead of a switch. This little goodie will allow both batteries to be hooked together in parallel, both will be charged while the motor is running, but the module's series diodes will electrically isolate both batteries from each other. This prevents any disparity in individual battery voltage (or a dying battery) from sucking the life out of the battery with higher voltage.
even more confused than I was just don't understand the orange black coming from the battery box ,,, battery hookup and a black red both running to the front
